Patient? …or Passive….?

April 16, 2012

As someone who frequently dives into projects headfirst, I recently began to appreciate my newly developed sense of patience. I considered. I thought-through. I ruminated.

And then, I realized….I was being passive.

I was expecting the Universe, the other people involved, the situation to energize and though magic, finish what I, myself, needed to complete.

There are times – many times, in fact – when all these elements of the left-side of your brain need to be employed.

My point today is to determine when, in fact, the left-brain ruminating is appropriate – and when it is just plain ‘ol procrastination.

The Universe assists and makes way. “God helps those who help themselves.”

Don’t push….but learn when action is needed…and when your patience is really just you, being passive.

Thanks for posting! This is one of my fave topics as in Architecture and Tarot and Art I utilize the technical and the intuitive side by side. Both the technical and the intuitive are actiive/actions or actionable. In my experience there are innumerously interesting aspects to present in developing effectiveness and workability to build value. Making the distinction you have between patience and passive is a greatly important one. The decision or natural settling in to being active openly or in a patient way contrasted with the “sitting on one’s hands” passively is often one of the biggest (almost unseen) catalysts to most projects/endeavors. Thanks for posting this. I have to LOL that my comment starts to approach the length of your blog. You said it well in a very concise way.
